Data protection / privacy policy

Vienna, November 2023

We would like to inform you about the processing of your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act (DSG), and the Telecommunications Act (TKG).
If you need more information, feel free to contact us at any time. Our contact details can be found at the end of this privacy policy.

1. Personal data
Personal data include all information about personal or factual circumstances, such as name, address, email address, telephone number, date of birth, age, gender, social security number, video recordings, photos, etc.
We collect, process and use your personal data only if necessary to fulfil a contract or due to a legal obligation, or if you voluntarily provide us with this data. We will obtain your consent before processing data for any other purpose. If our legitimate interest in data processing outweighs your interest in data protection, processing may occur even without your consent.
In particular, we will use the data provided to us for the purpose of contract fulfilment, contract initiation and compliance with legal obligations.
If there are any changes to your personal data, please inform us accordingly.
Please note that the provision of personal data may be legally required (e.g. tax regulations) or may result from contractual regulations (e.g. information about the contractual partner). Failure to provide personal data may result in the inability to conclude a contract.

2. Your rights
You have the right to information about your stored personal data, as well as the right to correction, data transfer, objection, restriction of processing, and blocking or deletion of incorrect or unlawfully processed data. You also have the right to revoke your consent at any time.
If you believe that the processing of your personal data by us violates applicable data protection laws, you have the option to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. In Austria, the responsible authority is the Data Protection Authority.

3. Data security
The protection of your personal data is ensured through appropriate organisational and technical measures. These measures include protection against unauthorised, unlawful or accidental access, loss, processing, use and manipulation.
Please note that we do not assume any liability for the disclosure of information due to errors not caused by us during data transmission and/or unauthorised access by third parties.

4. Transmission of data to third parties
To fulfil our contractual or legal obligations, it may be necessary to transmit your data to processors or other recipients, especially authorities. Processors process your personal data on our behalf and only to the extent necessary for the fulfilment of these tasks. Our processors include external service companies, for example.
Within our offer, based on our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimisation and economic operation of our offer within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR), we use content or service offers from third-party companies to integrate content and services.
This requires the transmission of your IP address to third-party providers, as without the IP address, the content cannot be sent to your browser. The IP address is necessary for the presentation of this content. Third-party providers may also use so-called web beacons for statistical or marketing purposes. Web beacons can evaluate information such as website traffic. For this purpose, a cookie may also be placed, containing technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, visit time and other information about the use of our website. The following list provides an overview of the third-party providers we use.

5. Data retention
We store your data as long as necessary to fulfil our contractual or legal obligations. For example, we are required to keep our accounting and other records for a period of 7 years from the end of the relevant calendar year.
If you have given us your consent, we will store your data as long as specified in your consent declaration, such as within a contract with you.
In addition, we will store your data as long as necessary to defend against liability or other claims within the statutory limitation periods. According to Austrian law, this is generally 3 years from knowledge of the damage and the damaging party.
Requests that did not lead to the conclusion of a contract will be stored by us for the purpose of internal analysis, such as the analysis of our offer, for a period of 24 months.
Our obligations to delete in the event of you exercising your right to deletion in accordance with Art. 17 of the GDPR are not affected by the above paragraphs.

6. Collection of general data and information
Our website collects a series of general data and information every time it is opened. This may include the browser, operating system, previously visited website, date and time, IP address, internet service provider and similar data and information. We use these data to maintain the website and improve security. When using these data, no conclusions are drawn about personal data.
The anonymous data from the server log files are stored separately from all other personal data.

7. Web analytics with Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

8. Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device by means of the browser. We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies” and are automatically deleted from your hard drive after the end of the browser session.
If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases. If cookies are used by us and require your consent, we will obtain your consent in advance. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website.
